About Me


Humphrey Laubscher is a Product Innovation Coach at Apply Lean Inc. He helps corporates and startups apply Lean Startup, Design Thinking and Agile methodologies to build innovative products using small cross functional teams that maximise learning while being capital efficient.

Apply Lean Inc helps by training, coaching and leading product teams in Innovation sprints that test unique value proposition’s, identify early target markets and map out alpha prototypes or minimal viable products (MVP). This process help’s build digital products that are desirable by customers, technically feasible and commercially viable.

Most recently Humphrey was helping to drive Australia Posts new digital innovation strategy by leading a cross functional team in identifying, validating and experimenting new digital businesses that target their enterprise and government customers within his role as Lead Emerging Products Manager.

Prior to joining AusPost, Humphrey was the FinTech Innovation Manager at National Australia Banks’ Innovation Lab, NAB Labs, Humphrey was responsible for sourcing, selecting and leading commercial partnerships with startups locally and globally. He developed and drove the adoption of Nab’s innovation pipeline methodology including the strategic objectives, methodologies and alignment back into the broader business. He also co-developed Nab’s $50m Corporate Venture Capital Funds investment strategy which was endorsed by Nab’s Board of Executives leading to the launch of NAB Ventures in 2016.

Prior to Nab, Humphrey was the General Manager of Innovation for Loud&Clear, one of the fastest growing digital agencies in Australia, where he launched their startup and corporate accelerator programs helping non-technical entrepreneurs and senior executives apply their entrepreneurial skills to launching businesses using Lean Startup and backed by their digital services team at Loud&Clear.

Humphrey received his masters of management in information technology from Charles Sturt University. He currently lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife and two children.
